Note: Representation in other counties is possible if the parties are participating in divorce mediation or if it is a collaborative case.

Our philosophy is to provide excellent legal services with the highest of integrity and ethical standards. We seek to counsel clients in a manner that considers tangible as well as intangible factors, such as the effect on the children and other important family relationships, and the most effective use of client resources given a client’s goals, the law, and the facts of the case. Recognizing that issues involved in family law are often intensely personal, and that both the process and the outcome will produce long-lasting consequences for those involved, we strive to work in tandem with the client to ensure the client is provided with all of the information necessary to make an informed decision about the best course of action for his or her particular family situation.

Consultations

We charge a discounted hourly rate for initial consultations (pro-rated to actual time spent). All consultations must be paid by cash or Pay Pal, unless you retain us at the consultation, in which case we will accept a personal check. Because the initial retainer can vary depending on the complexity of your case, we are generally unable to quote retainer fees over the telephone. In order to maximize the time spent during the consultation, we would appreciate it if you could complete and provide us with the confidential Family Law Questionaire form before your scheduled consultation.

Please bring the following documents to your consultation:
  • Completed Family Law Questionnaire;
  • Most recent tax return;
  • For support issues, recent itemized wage statements for you and the other party;
  • Any court documents you have recently received from or have been filed by the other party; and
  • For child or spousal support modification, a copy of the current order, both parties? recent wage statements, and custody mediation reports or evaluations.
